Born in 1942, Carl Ferenbach received an AB from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
From 1978 to 1983, he was a Managing Director of Merrill Lynch where he headed its Mergers and Acquisitions Department. He co-founded Berkshire Partners LLC, a private equity investment firm based in Boston in the early 1980s. Berkshire manages more than $7 billion in private equity capital contributed by institutions and individuals around the world. Carl Ferenbach is former Chairman of Crown Castle International Corporation, English Welsh & Scottish Railway Ltd. and US Can Corporation.
